For the 20th edition of the Festa del Cinema di Roma (Rome Film Festival), which will take place from October 15 to 26, 2025 at theAuditorium Parco della Musica with development also on other cultural spaces of the Capital, the participation of Acqua Orsini as Official Water of the Festival is confirmed.
The confirmation of this collaboration strengthens the link between the world of cinema, the territory and the focus on food and wine excellence.
The Festival: guidelines and program
The Rome Film Festival, now in its 20th edition, comes with ambitious numbers: 150 films from 38 countries on the bill, tributes to key figures in film culture (such as Carlo Rambaldi, Pier Paolo Pasolini and Claudio Caligari) and expected lifetime achievement awards including Jafar Panahi, who will be a guest with his film A Simple Accident.
Artistic director is Paola Malanga, while the jury of the Progressive Cinema Competition – “Visions for the World of Tomorrow” will be chaired by Paola Cortellesi, joined by international names such as Teemu Nikki, William Oldroyd, Brian Selznick and Nadia Tereszkiewicz.
In addition to the main competition, the official program includes Masterclass / Absolute Beginners / Paso Doble, Freestyle / Arts / Series, Grand Public, Special Screenings, Best of 2025, and in-depth sections such as History of Cinema / Documentaries / Restorations / Tributes. Some events have free admission, through accreditation or while seats last, so as to encourage a more popular enjoyment of the event.
The official opening of the festival will be with the film Life Goes This Way by Riccardo Milani, while the closing is scheduled with Carlo Verdone’s Vita da Carlo series. The opening and closing ceremonies will be conducted by Ema Stokholma.
