Sorgenti Italiane Regionali S.p.A. (SIR) represents an emerging Group in the Italian beverage scene, aiming to enhance local sources through territorial and sustainable growth. The history of the group begins with the birth of the Acqua Orsini brand, a symbol of excellence, purity and sustainability.

Acqua Orsini has its roots in the Alta Murgia National Park, in the municipality of Poggiorsini, once the residence of the ORSINI family , Dukes in Gravina in Puglia , ancient aristocratic and Papal Roman family. This historical and territorial connection inspired the creation of a mineral water that reflects the values the identity of the Apulia region, with ecological design and a focus on quality and purity.

    Subsequently, the group expanded its offerings with the launch of Orsini Soda, a line of beverages designed for quality mixology through high-end products characterized by authentic flavors and quality ingredients, all Made in Italy. This diversification has allowed the Group to consolidate its presence in the beverage market, offering products that combine tradition and innovation.

      In 2022, SIR took another strategic step by acquiring Acqua Cerelia, a historic company founded in 1902 in Cereglio, in the heart of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. With more than a century of history, Acqua Cerelia is recognized for its beneficial properties, known since the time of the ancient Romans. This acquisition began the journey industrial group operating in multiple national territories with its own production plants. The transaction enriched the group’s portfolio, adding a prestigious brand with a solid tradition.

        Looking to the future, SIR is pleased to announce its participation in the tenth edition of Beer&Food Attraction, to be held at the Rimini Trade Fair from February 16 to 18, 2025. On this occasion, the Group will preview its latest acquisition: the Fonte De’ Medici brand, based in Monte San Savino, in the province of Arezzo. This new Industrial operation represents a further step in the group’s expansion strategy, strengthening its presence in the high quality mineral water market with a territorial vocation.

          SIR Group will be present in Hall 3 with three booths:
          – Acqua Orsini & Orsini Soda at booth 174
          – Acqua Cerelia at booth 134
          – Fonte de Medici at booth 107

          SIR CEO Mario Bisceglia said, “The acquisition of Fonte de Medici is confirmation of the Group’s vision to operate in the national territory through local production sites that can revive historic territorial brands by revitalizing the local economy, also ensuring a better low-pollution service for short transportation. The acquisition transactions, accompanied by industrial investment plans for increased production capacity, energy efficiency, automation and digitalization, represent the road and development strategies for the coming years.
          Bisceglia also stressed that the latest acquisition transaction is part of a broader growth plan for the group, which aims to strengthen its position in the market through targeted investments and local development strategies. “Our goal is to create a virtuous system in which each brand maintains its own identity, making the most of the unique characteristics of each territory. Fonte De’ Medici represents a Tuscan excellence that perfectly complements our corporate philosophy, placing an additional emphasis on identity, quality and sustainability.”

          The group aims to end 2025 with more than 300 million liters bottled, joining the top mineral water bottling companies in Italy. Through a network of production plants and a premium offer oriented to the Horeca channel, SIR aims to meet the needs of the market and evolving consumers, keeping the values of quality, service and sustainability at the center.
